Manager, Client Service - Corporate Partnerships

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Client Service, Corporate Partnerships is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of the marketing activations of a select group of Tiger-Cats partners.  In this role, he/she will go beyond the management of relationships and transactions to be a true solutions provider for our partners.  This individual will provide excellent client service through day to day management of partners and help clients generate powerful marketing activations through programs with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Tim Hortons Field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with the Corporate Sales Team to lead the Client Service Team that will oversee the fulfillment of sponsorship agreements including the on-going communication with client leads on all assigned sponsorship accounts.
  • Assist the Corporate Sales department with sales proposal preparation, hospitality event planning and servicing, collateral update and reporting
  • Manage the execution of pre and regular season deliverables – i.e. creative development and approvals, digital campaign development and execution, as well as the execution of contract deliverables such as; promotional trips, hotel needs, tickets, merchandise, player and cheerleader appearances.
  • Work with the Marketing/Events group to ensure effective fulfillment of in-stadium execution for all assigned accounts.
  • Liaise with suppliers/contractors to facilitate the execution of sponsor-related programs.
  • Analyze sponsor activation performance, make sound strategic conclusions and communicate them through the presentation of post-season reports.
  • Other responsibility assigned by the Director of Corporate Partnerships, VP of Sales and Executive Vice President of Business Operations

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Related university degree, college diploma or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years corporate partnership service, media sales service or agency experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills in all internal and external relations
  • Ability to establish and grow trusted relationships

Coordinator, Multimedia

SUMMARY

The Multimedia Coordinator will provide a variety of services, most notably in video and motion graphics production. This position will primarily serve as a content producer for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize, produce, shoot and edit video content for Ticats.ca, Ticats social media and Tim Hortons Field videoboard
  • Work with various departments including marketing and communications and corporate partnerships to create feature stories, promotional videos, player highlight and other multimedia content
  • Produce motion graphics for in-game video board and web properties
  • Conduct live video webcasts through social networks
  • Assist with live production operations for Tim Hortons Field events
  • Coordinate archiving and sharing of digital video assets for departmental usage

Hamilton Tiger-Cats Internship Program

OVERALL DETAILS

Location: 1 Jarvis Street and Tim Hortons Field – Hamilton, Ontario
Internship Duration: 7 months: May 1st – November 30th OR 4-month term followed by another 4-month term.

Stipend: $300 per month + payment for each Tiger-Cats home game worked.

Hourly Commitment: Regular business hours + all 2018 Tiger-Cats home games and special events at Tim Hortons Field.

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Internship Program is to educate participants in all areas of operation of a professional sports organization, and to prepare them for entering today’s competitive career market place. Through observation and hands on experience, participants learn how to function in a high-energy professional environment, perform under pressure, show initiative in developing and executing new programs, and utilize essential time management skills. All participants will receive proper guidance, structure, and coaching to ensure their time in the Program enhances their education and career development.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Internship Program must be enrolled in a degree/diploma program. INTERN, COMMUNICATIONS

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats Communications Department strives to offer the best media/public relations support in the Canadian Football League.  The Communications Intern will play a key role in accomplishing this, while supporting both the football and business sides of the organization. The role will also provide an opportunity for networking, and valuable operational and managerial experience.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Help enhance the image and profile of the Tiger-Cats in the media and with the public through strategic communications planning and execution
  • Assist in compilation of news releases and advisories, media guides and other publications, game notes, media kits, etc.
  • Maintain media contact lists
  • Oversee accreditation process
  • Game day responsibilities include: credential distribution at media entrance, press box runner, statistician assistant, etc.
  • Assist in compilation and delivery of media packets for visiting media, featuring game notes, clippings, credentials and statistics

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Work with the Corporate Partnerships Client Service team to execute sponsorship contract elements
  • Assist in the preparation prepare of client proposals and season recap reports including tracking and compiling sponsorship elements (i.e. maintaining photo database)
  • Assist with the planning and execution of partner prospecting, hosting, and relationship building events
  • Coordinate and facilitate sponsor appearances (player, mascot, and/or cheerleaders)

 The Hamilton Tiger-Cats Finance Intern will be exposed to and learn all key functions within the Finance Department.  Candidates should be interested in accounting and finance within a professional sports organization, and be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program aligned with the position.

The Guest Experience intern will play a key role in executing and improving departmental programs to ensure all guests at Tim Hortons Field receive the best possible customer service. The role also will provide valuable recruitment and management experience.

  • Assist in interviewing and hiring a portion of the Customer Assistance Team
  • Update the Customer Assistance Team training program and assist in full staff training

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist with planning and execution of Marketing initiatives
  • Participate in the overall season preparation and execution of Tiger-Cats promotions, mascot/community appearances, and other day to day operations of the business

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats Event Operations Intern will have the opportunity to plan and execute events and game-day activities at Tim Hortons Field, a state of the art facility. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the planning, design, and promotion of all events at Tim Hortons Field. They will play a significant role in improving and executing departmental programs to ensure all targets are met with successful outcomes. The role also will provide valuable recruitment and management experience.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist in the hiring and training of the Game-day Operations Team
  • Assist in the management of the Game-day Operations Team at all Tiger-Cats home games and special events

The Tiger-Cats Shop located at Tim Hortons Field offers a year round experience of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats brand.  Our mission is to deliver to our fans the best shopping experience supported by the best products and exceptional customer service.  The Tiger-Cats Shop is looking to fill a 7 month internship position with an individual committed to delivering consistent and memorable experiences to our fans.  This role will also provide an opportunity for networking, and valuable retail operations and managerial experience.

Intern, Strength & Conditioning

The function of the Strength and Conditioning Intern is to assist with the daily operation of the strength and conditioning program for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club. The Strength and Conditioning Intern is to represent the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club in a positive and professional manner at all times. The daily activities of the Strength and Conditioning Intern will be supervised by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Assist with implementing the daily warm-up, In-season workouts, corrective exercises and recovery techniques
  • Assist with data collection using sport technology (Catapult/Coachmeplus)
  • Responsible for daily set-up and clean up before and after  every workout

Qualifications & Skills

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Executive, Ticket Sales & Service is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue and season seat retention. The role is primarily focused on selling new group tickets and flex pack tickets through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and your own personal network. The primary focus is increasing revenue for our sales team, while leveraging new and unique ideas that will create memorable experiences for fans. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of outbound sales experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Prospect, engage and close group sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing team revenue and prospecting goals
  • This individual will be an important ambassador for the Club’s Business Development agenda. Candidate must be seen as a problem-solver who is consistently focused on possibilities vs. limitations, employing a positive, collaborative team approach to all internal and external relations
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Participate in various Ticketing team and community events as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales and service efforts as defined by the organization

Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in Tiger-Cats gameday experience; attend all Tiger- Cats home games and will also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this offer as assigned by the candidate’s direct report

Measurements of Success

  1. Achieved or surpassed individual and Ticketing team revenue goals
  2. Establish a qualified prospect base through internal provided data, cold-calling, meetingsand networking
  3. Actively participating in all ticket sales team meetings and events

Customer Assistance Team - Gameday Staff

Summary: The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our Customer Assistance Team (C.A.T. Team) in one of our numerous roles as the official game day ambassadors of Tiger-Cats Football. Successful applicants will join our Team in providing world-class guest experience throughout the 2017 season at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton,

Those selected for an interview will be considered for the following roles.

  • Ticket Takers
  • In-Bowl and Concourse Ushers
  • Guest Services Staff
  • Game Day Retail Staff
  • Promotions Team

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meet and greet all guests with a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Be personal and proactive in providing top notch customer service and hospitality
  • Retain an extensive knowledge of the team, Tim Hortons Field layout, key venue attractions, seating sections, key venue personnel identity, and emergency procedures
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of inclement weather

C.A.T. Team Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to stand for 3 consecutive hours
  • Must be able to work 90% of Tiger-Cats events (includes playoff games, concerts)
